Enviro Day

Enviro Day

I am aware of how to write for an audience and Support the main with detail and comment.

There I was, waiting at the bus shelter for the people to help.
I was at school, Friday the 24th of July we were waiting for the 25 people to help with our Enviro Projects. At least two people from each class came to tell about the Enviro Project we were going to do. Our part was putting the pavers out in the doorways of the Chicken Shed.

A few minutes before 10:00 we met at the bus shelter. They got off the bus and had a long talk about life and safety, then. We introduced ourselves and the people talked about some stuff including enviro things.

Mrs Waite told us to spread out with the one person that we were with (I was with Jordan.) Then the people chose which group they wanted to be in. Me and Jordan got two ladys. I felt very nervous.

Finally it was time to go to the chicken shed we sprinted. We discussed what we were going to do first and last. The first thing we needed to do is shovel the sand out of the trailer and on the place where we were going to put the pavers and then straightened, so the sand was smooth and so the pavers were the right level. I tasted the sand in the mouth because of all the shoveling.

We had to use two trailers of sand because the sand was not the right level. So Caleb's grandad went to pick up more sand from the quarry a while down the road. (While we were waiting for the sand we were puting pavers in piles, so when the sand came it was ready for laying down on the sand.)

Then finally the sand came, as the the shoveling was non stop (well not really,) the wheelburrow was going back and fourth dumping sand off. It was time to put the pavers on they were very heavy.

At 3:00 the pavers were done, it really looked like a palace. It looked as if the whole place was finished (but not quite.) It was time to head back to class but before that we had a photo and a 'thank you for doing it.' Now it was time to head back to class I was happy and tired.
